REGISTRATION

Mount Drury
Friday 4 April 4:00pm to 8:00pm or Saturday 5 April 6:00am to 8:00am. You must be in person to register. No one else may register on your behalf.

TEAMS

It’s more fun in a team! Grab a mate and enter as a team and be part of the action. Each team member completes one of the legs in a relay fashion. The combined time for each leg is used to determine the overall time for your team. Only one team member is required to attend Check-In on behalf of the team. Your race kit will include your teams' timing chip which is passed from swimmer to cyclist. A swim cap (for the swimmer), helmet number stickers (for the rider). Each team member will receive a race pack. We do ask that the two team members competing are the ones listed on your event registration.

COURSE SUMMARY

Swim
2 Laps - Swim starts are located on the Southern end of the Main Beach on the South side of Leisure Island where the water is more calm and sheltered. Athletes will swim in an anti-clockwise direction, with swimmers completing two left hand turns before returning to shore. Swimmers do a short beach run between each lap of the swim.

Cycle
2 Laps - The cycle courses head south along the coastline and are slick, fast and flat. It is 10km out to the turn around and 10km return with four corners and five roundabouts to navigate.

Finish
After racking your bike from completion of the cycle leg, Aquabike athletes follow arrows to your finish line in transition.

AWARDS & SPOT PRIZES

All awards and major spot prize are awarded at the prize-giving which will take place at 12:00pm in front of the finish line stage. All finisher competitors will be eligible for the major spot prize and this will be randomly drawn at the awards. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing in the below age group category for Men and Women.

Standard Aquabike 16-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70-79 years, 80+ years.

TIMING

Timing mats will be located at the swim finish, cycle start, and cycle finish. Your finish time will be taken when you cross the timing mat coming into transition after the bike. You can then follow the Aquabike finishers arrows to your finish line in the transition area where you will receive your medal. All timing results will be available online by age group category. Timing chips that are not returned or lost will result in the athlete being charged $50.

TOILETS

Toilets will be located at the start/finish area.

RACE KIT ITEMS

The following items are included in your race kit - check out their purpose:

HELMET STICKER
Place it on the front of your helmet.

RACE BIB NUMBER
Wear it on the front during the run leg.

NUMBERED WRISTBAND
Wear it at all times from entering transition to rack your bike until the end of the event when you exit transition with your bike.

SEATPOST STICKER
Wrap it around your seatpost.

TIMING CHIP
Securely strap it around your ankle for the whole race. Teams transfer this from team member to team member, ankle to ankle.
